The Friday Night Lineup Returns, three new shows added to it, Thursday Show Officially Takes The Green, and moreSubmitted by nick on August 7, 2006 - 7:42pm.
This story, baring the largest headline in HKC Radio history, announces more things at once than ever before. In short, the passed few months have been a very interesting ride for those here, and it’s time for us to tell you all about it in this newsletter-like story. You heard of two programming acquisitions on June 21, that of “the one Way Roundabout” and “The Rock Stop.” The Rock Stop began its programming on Wednesday August 2 to favorable affair. But HKC Radio, for its own reasons, has been withholding information to its website visitors which will now be shared. First up, “The Juke Box” with Mike C officially has joined the lineup. It broadcasts on Thursdays from 8 PM to 10 PM Eastern time. Like a true juke box, you do not know what you are going to hear. He’ll play it all, from the tokens to Afro Man, and everything in between. So if you would like an interesting ride on Thursdays, tune in. HKC Radio’s Friday night lineup will officially return this Friday, August 11. However, those who’ve been watching the messengers have seen something on Tuesdays and Fridays. Yes, HKC Radio is proud to welcome Venison88, host of Venison Stew, to its official lineup after four months of work to make it so. The man is the perfect lead in to the Digital Domain online radio show, which also has gone through a very interesting ride thanks to its July 14 show, which has been marked as the best in its history. The afore mentioned Venison Stew is on from 4 PM to 6 PM on Tuesdays, and from 4 PM to 7 PM on Fridays. To replace the void left by big Mikey’s sudden departure from internet radio and his reluctance to return, HKC radio, after much work, has finally brought JDX from Australia on board to do his show, “Live and Loaded,” immediately following myself with Rock Radio Redefined at 11 PM eastern on Fridays. It’ll bridge you into Saturday, ending at 1 AM. At this point, all other internet radio stations in this corner have gone to automation, but no, HKC Radio has something else. Historically a good line up ending show, “The One Way Roundabout,” instead of being a morning show, has moved its timeslot before Chris ever did a show. It will immediately follow JDX, a symbol of the partnership between these two individuals which has been going on for many years. This show will most likely end at 3 AM Eastern. Tune in for some great music, a surprise or two, and who knows what else. As one can see by reading this post, HKC Radio has had the best summer it has ever had in its near four year history. We thank every one of our outside broadcasters for making HKc Radio a force to be reckoned with, especially on Fridays, where we now have one of the most powerful Friday lineups in internet radio. But as well as the outsiders, one can not forget those who've stuck around the project for its entire history. These great people have given HKC Radio one of the most rock solid management structures possible, honed by time. Said management structure insures that, no, HKC Radio will not be going anywhere, come what may. Again, it is everyone on the project that has helped HKC Radio, finally, take off. Stick around folks, there’s plenty more than this waiting in the wings. The last time we said that...hell, you’ve just read the post. ( categories: )
