HKC Radio

The Digital Domain Online Radio show this month began a contest of "Name that tune" to decide who HKC Radio's Big Bar of the month is. Through the wonders of Voice over IP, we conferenced two bars together, and it was definitely a blast. In the right side bar every month, you will see the HKC Radio Big Bar of the month, or in this case, bars.

We have upgraded the backend for this site, which should fix some security issues as well as make some changes so that we can retheme this website. There are some website theming bugs for now (Can't help there,) but if they can be dealt with, we will have a new website soon that will look great.

Our host, the fine folks at DreamHost, decided to upgrade the version of PHP which is driving the site. This is why noone could post because of log in problems. The solution seemed simple enough. Upgrade the backend. So I did. There is a bug which I think will be fixed when we do our major backend work very soon. On some machines, if you log in to the site, it just dumps you back to the main page with no change except your name in the who's online list. Simply exit and reload the browser. That's it.

The offending user's comments are deleted and the offending user is banned. But we have been trolled, so I am shoring up this site's security. there will be things you don't see, but one thing that you do. I've been forced to add a non-graphical captcha, one that blind users can solve very easily. Sorry about that, but it had to be done.

Due to a modification which we wanted to revert, and this modification's reluctance to go away quietly, the majority of the site was unusable to much of the general public. The schedule, show pages, and possibly other things went south.

It has been fixed now. I also believe that I fixed the issue that prevented some news storys from making it to the front page. If any other issues crop up, send an email or comment on this article because this module I was atempting to use is probably at fault.

welcome to DreamHost, HKC Radio. There're still problems, as we've only moved the absolute core stuff over, so there will be errors. Keep checking back though, because these issues will be solved.

Well, here is the long and short of it. Live and Loaded now has archives. Having said that, I’ve made a few cosmetic changes to the way we’re handling certain things. First, on the digital domain page, the menu for the nut hut journal and character bios is no longer part of the page content. It has been moved up to the main menu, so when you click on, say, “the digital domain online radio show,” you’ll find the menu expanded. Also, all shows that have archives that use the podcast script we use and have them included in a section of the page now have a link in that expanded subm

The archives for the Digital Domain are officially back. They are in exactly the same place as before, and podcast clients shouldn't have to change their podcast URL, or so we think. if you do, the information is on the page.
